Thank You to everybody that participated in another great PC Shootout. We look forward to seeing you all back in 2011. 2011 Dates TBD Despite fast growth in the sport across the Western U.S., youth lacrosse teams have been hard-pressed to find tournaments within convenient travel distance. To meet this need, the Utah Lacrosse Association (ULA) launched the Ski Town Shoot Out in 2005. The organizing committee has secured discounts for local lodging. We encourage parents and players to stay the weekend and enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, and other recreational attractions, including Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort, the Canyons, and the Utah Olympic Park. PLAYER AGE/GRADE: The boys tournament has three brackets with between 6 and 35 teams participating in the 3/4th, 5/6th and 7/8th grade groups. Each boys team has a five-game schedule. Generally the schedule provides one game on Thursday afternoon and two each on Friday and Saturday.
Boys - $215 non-refundable team fee and $40 per player. Five-game schedule. Team deposit/registration due by May 21, 2010. For players in grades 3-8. Women's - $215 non-refundable team fee and $36 per player. Four-game schedule. Team deposit/registration due by May 21, 2010. Men's - $300 non-refundable team fee and NO player fee. Four-game schedule. Team deposit/registration due by May 21, 2010. Open to HS grads and older. Most games take place on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The tournament organizers will do their best to schedule games so that teams have uninterrupted time to enjoy Park City. Due to an anticipated sell-out of the tournament, field availability will be at a premium. While the organizers will attempt to accommodate requests for add-on "challenge" games, we cannot guarantee these optional contests can be supported. SPORTSMANSHIP Celebrate the Game with us. In our opening ceremonies, players from each team participate in the "Running of the Balls," building a multicolored lacrosse ball pyramid. Each level of the pyramid represents the people involved in the game. The base is your teammates, followed by coaches, officials, opponents, and family. Throughout the event, we ask all participants to instill in the players a sense of honor, respect, and appreciation for the roots of the game. Lodging information can be found on the 'Sponsors' page |
